Buria
This beautiful and fascinating town is situated at a distance of 8 kilometres from the Yamunanagar Railway Station and is at a distance of 3 kilometres from town of Jagadhri. This place is famous for a grand architectural building named Rang Mahal or the Fort of Buria. The folklore believes that there is some historical connection between Buria and one of the Navrathnas of Akbar, named Birbal, who was supposedly born here. However, there is also a story of the Rang Mahal being built by Humayun, who had come to the forests of the Shivalik mountain range for the purpose of hunting.The Rang Mahal was built with the purpose of being a place for pleasure and leisurely activities and is a three storied architecture. The newly restructured temple of Shree Pataleshvar Mahadev in the vicinity of Buria, in a place named Dayalgarh attracts a lot of tourists. There is beautiful garden in this place and many age old ashrams are also found here, which were used by some saints in the erstwhile era.
